♠ the world of wonderland is full of wonder, insanity, and magic. although the magic is different from, let's say, harry potter, magic is certainly present. certain canon characters will automatically have magical abilities. others may be able to try to apply for them. other characters may have a "base" magical ability if approved. for more information on the abilities available on this forum, please continue below.

many of these abilities are limited to certain characters, and some cannot be requested. if you wish to request an ability that says you may not request it, then please private message an administrator. some abilities (such as smoke) is incredibly rare. please don't be offended if we decline your ability request, it's nothing personal. all abilities are listed alphabetically. if you wish to request a specific ability, please go to the bottom of this post or click here for the instructions.
ANIMATION:
[/size] only the four rulers of the world (the queen of hearts, the king of spades, the queen of diamonds, and the king of clubs) have the ability of animation. upon receiving a crown, the individual achieves this ability. the ability of animation allows the user to create an army of cards (depending on what card you represent). each animation skill produces the same number of cards, as well as the same level of cards. the user may also animate a group of cards for other purposes, such as servitude. the cards are intelligent beings.
WITH THIS ABILITY:

BREATH:[/size] the user can control the breathing of another, including the rate and depth. for example they can cause someone to hyperventilate or slow someone's breathing down enough where they believe they are suffocating. this ability is only temporary however, and they cannot actually kill another with it. they can also hold their own breath for very long periods of time.
WITH THIS ABILITY:

DETECTOR:[/size] certain of the hearts characters (if approved or canon) have the ability of detector. the detector ability allows the user to hear any individual's, excluding the queen of hearts, heart beat. this can indicate a variety of emotions such as fear, stress, anxiety, or even excitement. in addition, users have the ability to tell, with near perfect accuracy, if someone is lying to them.
WITH THIS ABILITY:
the queen of hearts
EYES:[/size] the user has incredible eyesight. they can see from very far distances, has perfect night vision, can see the slightest of movements no matter how subtle, and more. they tend to be very good lie detectors as they can see the smallest changes in facial expressions. though they cannot do so with living things, they can see through nonliving objects.
WITH THIS ABILITY:

HATS:[/size] the hats ability is only available to the mad hatters' family. the hats ability allows the user to make oneself small enough to fit onto his or her hat and, by using the hat, fly away. this ability requires a small hint of insanity to be truly effective.

IMMUNITY:[/size] all outsider characters have the ability of immunity. the immunity ability keeps the user from being able to obtain the title of insane, and therefore prevents them from ever learning the ability madness.

INVISIBILITY:[/size] all members of the cheshire cats family have the ability of invisibility. the invisibility ability allows the user to turn oneself invisible in any location and at any time.

MADNESS:[/size] all insane characters have the ability of madness. the madness ability allows the user to physically change their environment and control everything inside. madness does not allow a character to control any persons that they did not create themselves nor can madness prevent people from entering unless a physical barrier is created. madness ends when the user leaves the environment, where the environment will change back to its original form. please remember that environments made through madness are not hallucinations or illusions, but rather real. madness has the negative side effect of causing the user to literally go mentally insane and only lasts as long as the user is insane, or until the next tea party. if a user fails to be insane, then madness will disappear. this skill is difficult to use while one is insane, however it is feasible.

POTIONS:[/size] the potions ability is only available to the march hares' family. the potions ability allows the user to his or her tea-making techniques to create a variety of magical potions, ranging from super strength to height changes. this ability requires a hint of insanity to be truly successful. this ability also relies on skill experience for power of the potion.
WITH THIS ABILITY:
the march hare younger brother to the march hare
RETRACTION:[/size] certain of the spades characters (if approved or canon) have the ability of retraction. the retraction ability allows the user to transform a bone inside the user's arm and create a sword, or spade, out of that bone. this skill is incredibly painful, but the weapon is as strong as a bone. this skill can only be accessed if the land is under attack.
WITH THIS ABILITY:
the king of spades
SHAPESHIFTER:[/size] the ability of shapeshifter allows the user to change one's body form into another. this ability is limited to one's experience. the length of time one can hold this ability is also dependent on one's experience. this is a rare ability.
WITH THIS ABILITY:

SHELL:[/size] certain of the diamonds characters (if approved or canon) have the ability of shell. the shell ability allows the user to transform their body to be as hard as a diamond, and nearly indestructible as such. the skill is incredibly painful and may only be accessed if the land is under attack.
WITH THIS ABILITY:
the queen of diamonds
SLEEP WALKING:[/size] the sleep walking ability is only available to members of the dormouses family. the sleep walking ability allows the user to fall asleep at any time and, while sleeping, to walk and perform with intelligence. under this ability, the user is also capable of speaking intelligently. however, when the user wakes up, he will not remember the events during sleep walking.
WITH THIS ABILITY:

SMOKE:[/size] the smoke ability allows the user to create, with a special pipe, hallucinations for one-self or for other individuals. the smoke from the pipe creates a special cloud which allows the individual be submerged into a hallucination. most of these hallucinations are of some importance (such as a vision, a flashback, or a lesson), however in random cases the hallucinations are simply that: random. this is an incredibly rare skill as it requires a special pipe.

SUPER STRENGTH:[/size] certain of the clubs characters (if approved or canon) have the ability of super strength. the super strength ability allows the user to increase the strength in their arms times a hundred. the user ultimately achieves super strength. the skill is somewhat painful and may only be accessed if the land is under attack.
WITH THIS ABILITY:
the king of clubs
TIME TURNER:[/size] this ability is only available to the white rabbit. the time turner ability allows the white rabbit to bend time in any location (even outside of wonderland). he must, however have his pocket watch on him. in addition, he must not be currently late for any events. if he is, the time turner ability cannot be activated.
WITH THIS ABILITY:
the white rabbit
TRANSFERENCE:[/size] this ability is only available to members of the twiddles' family. the transference ability allows the user to transfer one's mind to another of the family's body. for example, twiddle dum may transfer his mind into the body of tweedle dee, and tweedle dee's mind will be transferred into the body of twiddle dum. compliance from both parties must be available. they may change back whenever they wish.

base abilities are different than specific abilities. base abilities are available to anyone who qualifies. most base abilities require a certain physical and/or personality trait. in order to qualify for the base ability, you must include this trait in your application. base abilities are also only available upon your application creation and cannot be specifically requested. base abilities do not run in the family. base abilities will be closed when the staff feels that there are too many, for example, frogs running around. you may also create your own base ability. if you do so, make sure to talk about it in your application. more base abilities will be added when necessary.
CACTUS:
[/size] can sprout dangerous spikes from their bodies and go without food and water for very long periods of time. they also are able to withstand high temperatures. they are usually either very short or very tall with no in between.
WITH THIS BASE:

CHAMELEON:[/size] can change their appearance to blend into their surroundings. however, they often do not bother to control this ability, causing them to randomly change colors, the texture of their skin, etc.
WITH THIS BASE:

CLOUD:[/size] have a perpetual cloud hanging over their heads and are able to manipulate the weather of their own individual cloud. this includes making it rain (even acid rain for the more powerful), hail, thunder, and more. sometimes their ability is uncontrollable, fueled by strong emotions. their ability has a radius of about twenty feet from all directions of the user.
WITH THIS BASE:

DREAM:[/size] can invade the dreams of others, manipulating them to their will and doing what they wish. they must leave before the dreamer awakes however or they will forever be trapped in the dreamer's mind. they have physical forms but are rarely in them, preferring to jump from dream to dream. however in their true forms they are often very pale from their skin, to their hair, to their eyes and have a dazed expression on.
WITH THIS BASE:

FEAR:[/size] can bring the fears of others to life in a form of hallucination that traps the other in their fear-filled mind. the hallucination ends after about an hour if the user does not stop it before hand, but often causes people to go crazy while trapped. these people themselves are very fearful, afraid of everything and are very paranoid and suspicious, rarely using their ability.

FLOWER:[/size] have an aroma that they can manipulate to attract others to them, almost as a form or hypnosis. they tend to be thin and frail looking and hate the dark, wilting and potentially dying when they go too long without the sun.

FLUTE:[/size] have very beautiful voices, able to manipulate the feelings of others through their words. they are often tall and thin with skin that gleams in the sunlight.

FOG:[/size] can turn themselves into a wispy, nearly invisible, odorless substance similar to fog. in this form they cannot be harmed but also cannot physically touch anything.
WITH THIS BASE:
none.
POISONOUS FROG:[/size] can secrete poisonous toxins through the skin and jump very high. they tend to have large, brightly colored eyes.
WITH THIS BASE:
none.
STATUE:[/size] can become completely immobile in all sense of the word. they are even capable of stopping their heart and other internal functions, essentially playing dead, and then start them back up again. they have thick skin and strong bones, making them hard to injure.
WITH THIS BASE:

TATTOO:[/size] can bring the tattoos on their body to life, mostly for offensive and defensive purposes. this ability is limited to the tattoos themselves, and the tattoos are not actually living though they may appear to be. their bodies are covered in tattoos. sometimes their tattoos can be found moving about on their body. without their tattoos, which can be destroyed when outside of the body, these people will literally cease to exist as their tattoos are literally part of them.
